The Domain of Nadastati Kumpania

The Adrian Gypsies are known as the Nadastati Kumpania. Our group is dedicated to promoting and preserving the gypsy culture during the time of the renaissance within the Adrian Empire's time period of 1066 to 1603. Our domain was formed around May of 2006.

 

Roma/Gypsies began to migrate westwards in the 9^th and 10^th centuries.  Research and analysis of the Northwest India Gypsy culture and language shows the Gypsy routes to Europe led through Persia, Armenia, and the Greek-speaking territory of Byzantium.  Historical documents confirm their presence on the Greek islands as early as 1322.  Half a century later, large groups reached the Balkans and by the 15^th century Gypsies were to be found almost everywhere in Europe.

 

In the western world (Europe), Roma/Gypsies have been portrayed since the 15^th century as a mysterious and secretive people.  They were valued for their artisan skills and what they could contribute to the feudal economies of Europe.  Gypsies lived and moved in tribes and worked together for the existence and betterment of all.  They had their own legal systems, violations of which were, and still are, tried by the members of the family group called the Kris.

Calendar
Events: the Nadastati Kumpania has two annual events each year.  The Mid-Eastern Feast hosted locally in Umbria, Phoenix, Arizona.    And the Gypsy Rendezvous hosted where ever the land owners allow us. Dates and times announced prior to the events. 

This part of this Page is currently Under Development. Guilds that are active in the Kingdom of Umbria, and a Short history about them and what its goals and aims are for the Kingdom and the Empire.
